Meet the Artists
Hi Everyone, I'm the founder and CEO of Gateway Hand Crafted. I'm also one of the creatives. I specialise in creating extravagant door wreaths; personalised laser cut name hoop wreath door hangers; cute pom pom letters, numbers and shapes; wood bead garlands and pom pom garlands; fake food and drink props for display, including freakshakes, fake shakes and mugs with faux whipped cream toppers. I absolutely love bright colours and seasonal decorating. If in doubt, add more glitter. I love things which are over-the-top.
UK-based Justine comes from an artistic family, but she herself has only been creating for the last seven years. Her passion is creating personalised, hand painted ‘bags for life’ in the UK.
Justine is collaborating with Gateway Hand Crafted to showcase her whimsical Beach Huts, Retro Caravans, Camper Vans, Mermaids & Wildlife designs, to a wider audience and across a variety of gift and home merchandise.
Born in South Africa, Taryn Brown has travelled to the USA and finally landed lin Abu Dhabi which she now calls home. Her works are mainly in Acrylic paint, but she has the capacity to play with all sorts of media, print media and drawing. Taryn holds a diploma in Graphic Design and studied art and drawing from an early age.
Taryn's current work takes its form in acrylic painting dealing with images of bright bold colours. Her painting style combines basic shapes, purposeful colours, and lyrical lines to delicately balance naivety and understated sophistication. No two pieces are alike, and yet all the artworks have a common thread: colorful and playful. Taryn created the Arabia Collection especially for her collaboration with Gateway Hand Crafted.
Born in England, not far from London, Deborah Nicholson moved to the beautiful county of Yorkshire 25 years ago after meeting her partner whilst travelling around Australia. It's there where she got the inspiration for her dot paintings. Although inspired by native Australian artists, Deborah's dot paintings have a more modern feel and are distinctive in their own right. She's a self-taught artist and has tried her hand at various other crafts, including silk painting and stained glass making, but always returned to painting. Her other passion is photography of birds and insects at her local nature reserve, where she enjoys long walks with her dog. Deborah is collaborating with Gateway Hand Crafted, showcasing her Aboriginal-Style Dot Art.
